The Samaniego Solar Group began to write its history back in 1972 at the foot of the medieval town of Laguardia, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, an emblematic subregion of the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Throughout all these years, its wines are a faithful reflection of the mixture of tradition and avant-garde, which is why almost 10 years ago they completely renovated the production and aging areas and added concrete tanks so that their wines have a much more contemporary look.
Bodegas Solar de Samaniego was born in 1972 at the foot of the medieval town of Laguardia, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, protected under the D.O.Ca. Rioja. The property thus recovered its Rioja roots with the desire to unite the history and tradition of a land where wine is the protagonist. Throughout the last decades it has been consolidating itself as one of the main wineries in this wine-producing area of recognized international quality.
